Use the following steps to disable driver signature enforcement. I recently purchased a laptop running windows 10 64bit with only usb ports, no firewire. I didnt realize my mistake until I tried to hook up my saffire pro that I have been using for years on a desktop.

Driver

Lexicon Alpha drivers are tiny programs that enable your Audio Controller hardware to communicate with your operating system software. Maintaining updated Lexicon Alpha software prevents crashes and maximizes hardware and system performance. Using outdated or corrupt Lexicon Alpha drivers can cause system errors, crashes, and cause your computer or hardware to fail. Furthermore, installing the wrong Lexicon drivers can make these problems even worse.

Recommendation: If you are inexperienced with updating Lexicon device drivers manually, we highly recommend downloading the Lexicon Alpha Driver Utility. This tool will download and update the correct Lexicon Alpha driver versions automatically, protecting you against installing the wrong Alpha drivers.

I have been using a Lexicon Alpha for the past year or so, and as of yesterday, my computer is unable to recognize it anymore. I've tried uninstalling the USB chipset controllers and restarting, I've updated my driver software and restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled driver software from the ground up, updated windows, even done a full system restore and nothing's helped (the earliest date I could do a system restore may have been after this issue first started). I've done a full system scan, no issues were found.

When I uninstall the USB and restart, I wait for the Root Hub, etc. to finish updating/reinstalling, then plug in my Leixcon Alpha, which is seen as an unknown device, it fails to install, the reason being 'Device unplugged.'

If I plug the Lexicon Alpha into any other computer, it works perfectly. The problem is only with this computer. All other USB devices work perfectly on this computer as well.

One more bit of information: When I go to the Device Manager and the Alpha is plugged in, the Device Manager will constantly 'refresh' (I don't know any other way to describe it).
