What Is Wintab Driver

Posted on  by

This is what I see when I go to your link.

'All current software, firmware, and drivers for the Surface Pro 3; including optional WinTab drivers. Links to drivers for other Surface devices are in the Details section below'.

V 2.0.1.0 available for TESTING: use V 1.9.0.0 for production. Works without need to run your app or Settings program as Administrator. 32 and 64 bit versions available: use 32 bit driver for 32 bit OS, 64 bit driver for 64 bit OS. Additionally, the WinTab driver is provided for those professionals needing WinTab compatibility with certain Surface Pen enabled applications.

Driver

I have downloaded the file that you might need from the link you mention and I have Uploaded to the OneDrive site for your recovery if you want it and can't get it through normal methods. The file is called Wintab_x64_1.0.0.20. This appears to be any updated file of Wintab_x64_1.0.0.18.

If that is not what you after, and you want an old driver, for whatever reason, then you might be able to use the Driver Roll Back feature in Device Manager, or use System Restore to go back a couple of days?

Gtco Calcomp Wintab Driver

I've just bought a Surface Pro 3. I am going to use it mainly for Photoshop and Mischief, so I'm looking for the best stylus experience. I've read about a Wintab driver, but I'm not sure if I need it or not. I've downloaded the Surface Hub thing that gives me a tiny bit of control over pressure, but I'm wondering if I also need Wintab.

This is my first Windows product in like 20 years (big time Apple fan), so I'm concerned about screwing it up with the wrong driver. Please enlighten me on Wintab and any other things I should be aware of.

Thanks!
